The Discovery Grant Program of NSERC is one of the most highly appreciated programs by Canadian computer scientists according to the 2018 survey by CS-Can|Info-Can. The proposal is only 5 pages long, and one applies once in 5 years, but probably this is the reason that it has been called “the hardest 5 pages” one has to write.

In this webinar, a distinguished panel of computer scientists who have served recently on the Grant Selection Committee (GSC 1507, Computer Science) will provide their insights into what makes a successful NSERC Discovery Grant proposal.
