Computer Science Instructor – Limited Term

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a two and a half year term Instructor position on our Lethbridge campus. The successful candidate will support our Bachelor of Science-Computer Science major. The appointment will commence on January 1, 2023 and run until June 30, 2025, subject to budgetary approval. We seek a scholar who has completed an M.Sc., or has comparable teaching experience in Computer Science or a closely related area. A scholar with or near completion of a PhD would be preferred. The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching effectiveness and must be comfortable with teaching across diverse areas of Computer Science. They will cover courses primarily at the introductory level, from a subset of the following topic areas: introductory programming, practical software development, discrete mathematics, digital circuit design, and introduction to computer science for non-majors. The ability to teach at the senior level would be an asset.
