A growing number of Canadian and international computing departments are hiring forteaching-focused positions, alongside research + teaching faculty positions. Since teaching track positions are new or do not exist at many institutions, students may have little or no information about this potential career path. Faculty may also not know how best to advise students interested in teaching track careers.

In this session, we will share information about these types of positions, our own career paths, and how interested students can prepare themselves for a teaching track career path.

This session is intended for students considering a teaching track academic career path, however it may also be of interest to faculty who supervise students interested in teaching track careers.
