Reid Holmes
- The University of British Columbia
Dr. Reid Holmes is already an internationally-recognized researcher in Software Engineering. His research takes a human-centric approach to examining software programs. Two primary themes in his research have been helping software developers focus on their most cognitively demanding tasks, and asking and answering fundamental questions about software testing. The research methods he employs span from conducting empirical studies of industrial software developers as a way to understand and characterize the problems they face, to building tools that can be applied at scale to address those problems. He and his research team have received four distinguished paper awards and the results of his research have been applied within large software development companies. Dr. Holmes is truly a creative and productive researcher who is emerging as a leader in the international software engineering research community.
