The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, invites applications for three 12-month Limited Term Appointments in the areas of Computer Science and/or Software Engineering.

The primary responsibility of an LTA is course delivery; however, they may be asked to supervise students’ project work, and contribute to Department and program administration, including the implementation of CEAB Graduate Attributes.

Limited-term Faculty members at Concordia are full-time faculty members whose primary duties include teaching and service, with no research obligations.

Qualifications and assets
Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Science or Software Engineering. Membership in a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in Quebec, is required. Industrial experience will be a definite asset. The candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in diverse areas.

Candidates are encouraged to share any career interruptions or personal circumstances that may have had an impact on their career goals in their letter of application. Concordia University is an English-language institution of higher learning at which the primary language of instruction and research is English. Since this position supports academic functions of the university, proficiency in English is required. Working knowledge of French, including reading and grading student work in French, is an asset.
