The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of computational biology and computational biomedicine. We seek candidates with research interests related to the development of computational approaches to analyze and model medical or biological data, including but not limited to genomics data, medical records, public health data, biosamples, biosignals, or medical images. The selected candidate will be part of a growing group of recent hires in the department working on health-related research, and will also be able to collaborate with Concordia researchers in the recently created School of Health, and in the Concordia Centre for Structural and Functional Genomics.

The main criteria for selection are scholarly and teaching excellence. The successful candidate will provide evidence of high-quality scholarly output that demonstrates potential for independent research leading to peer assessed publications, and the securing of external research funding, as well as strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Industry experience or applications of research to industry will be considered an asset.
