The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of quantum computing and applications, on topics including but not limited to: quantum information, quantum algorithms, quantum complexity theory, quantum communication, quantum cryptography, quantum machine learning, and quantum networks. Duties include research, teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service to the institution. The selected candidate will be part of a planned group of hires in the area of quantum technology. This is a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level may also be considered.
The main criteria for selection are scholarly and teaching excellence. The successful candidate will provide evidence of high-quality scholarly output that demonstrates potential for independent research leading to peer-assessed publications, and the securing of external research funding, as well as strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Industry experience or applications of research to industry will be considered an asset.
