Membership

CS-Can/Info-Can Individual Membership is open to faculty and students in university computer science and related departments, along with computer science researchers in industry and government. Departmental Membership is open to academic departments of computer science and closely related fields. Industrial Membership is open to companies doing business in Canada that focus on research, development, or provision of services in the field of computing.

The Members Forum is an affiliated website available to members that provides a variety of services to enrich connectivity and collaboration across the Canadian computing community.

Scientific and Professional Networking

The CS-Can|Info-Can annual conference and AGM provides an exceptional opportunity for computer science researchers, students and professionals to meet and to interact. Participants hear from Canada’s most outstanding researchers and from funding agencies and industry leaders. CS-Can|Info-Can members receive preferred registration rates to CS- Can|Info-Can conferences, workshops and events.

Awards

The annual CS-Can|Info-Can Awards for Lifetime Achievement, Outstanding Young Computer Science Research and Distinguished Dissertation recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions to computing in Canada.

The CS-Can|Info-Can Student Travel Awards and Student-Run Event awards support students attending and initiating events that are complementary to, but not a part of, the normal academic requirements for their degree. Preference is given to events that align with CS-Can|Info-Can’s mission and take place in Canada.

Advocacy

CS-Can|Info-Can is the voice of computer science in Canada and key among organizations from industry, academia and associations to represent the entire value chain, from teaching to research and industry. We develop, offer and promote a range of policy, education and outreach initiatives in partnership with our members and affiliates.

The Members Forum provides exclusive access to a variety of services, including job postings and member discussions, to enrich connectivity and collaboration across the Canadian computing community.
