University of Windsor
Laila Albalkhi is a third year computer science student at the University of Windsor completing a specialization in software engineering. She brings a strong combination of both advocacy and industry experience to the table. Involved on her campus as Student Senator of the University of Windsor’s Student Alliance, Vice-President of the Computer Science Society, and Student Co-Chair of Senate Student Caucus, Laila is regularly and confidently advocating for student concerns and providing platforms and spaces where their voices can be heard. Her technical experience has developed through her internship at Microsoft, 3 research assistant positions, and continuous teaching assistant experience. She strives to create spaces where technology can be used to bridge gaps and introduce more female students to get involved in computer science spaces.
