Their spiritual and practical relationships to the land create a rich heritage and ongoing model for our learning and our life as a community.  Augustana Faculty and the University as a whole have adopted a comprehensive Indigenous Initiatives and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion agenda and are signatories to the Dimensions Declaration and the Scarborough Declaration.

The Faculty is committed to high-quality, high-impact teaching practices, innovative and interdisciplinary programs and curricula grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, and realizing opportunities for students in areas of undergraduate research. Our students benefit from programs that incorporate a common core and skills focus; service-learning and work-integrated learning; experiential education; and study abroad opportunities.  Our faculty members are engaged researchers from all of the Tri-Agency disciplines.
