The University of Windsor’s School of Computer Science, in the Faculty of Science, invites applications for a two-year Limited-Term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing May 1, 2022. The position is primarily to support the Master of Applied Computing program. This position is renewable, and subject to final budgetary approval.

The School is looking for qualified individuals to meet its teaching needs in one or more of the following courses:

COMP-8117. Advanced Software Engineering Topics
COMP-8347. Internet Applications and Distributed Systems
COMP-8547. Advanced Computing Concepts
COMP-8567. Advanced Systems Programming

The successful candidate will have: a PhD degree in Computer Science, (or related field as deemed appropriate by the Appointments’ committee) by the date of appointment; general teaching experience in Computer Science, preferably at the university level; experience in teaching at least one of the course areas listed above, preferably at the graduate level; experience in supervising student projects, providing evidence of your role, and impact if any; demonstrated record of service to academic and professional communities; and strong communication skills. Preferred candidates will have: experience in online teaching; experience with mentoring and teaching in multicultural settings; a record of contribution to active and experiential learning practices (such as lab work, field work, or other real world experiences in or out of the classroom); and recent and relevant experience or engagement with industry. Candidates are encouraged to provide evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching such as awards, teaching scores, training, course development, etc.
