The Physics & Computer Science Department at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in computer science at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with specialty in one or more of the following areas: Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Data Mining and Big Data Management. Candidates in related areas will also be considered. The position will begin July 1, 2022 and is subject to budgetary approval.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an individual with a commitment to teaching, research and service. Applicants must have an active research program that complements existing research programs within the department; with a strong track record of academic publications, and demonstrated potential or established record for obtaining research funding from Tri-Council and/or other sources. Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Computer Science and the ability to teach a wide range of computer science courses. We also welcome statements that speak to a candidate’s experience with and commitment to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., scholarship, teaching, mentoring, lived experience).
