The Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for one (1) three-year Contractually Limited Term Appointment (CLTA) at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, in the field of Computer Science. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2023, or shortly thereafter, and end on June 30, 2026.
Applicants must have earned a Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of two semesters of teaching in a degree granting program/post secondary institution, by the time of appointment. A PhD in computer science or a related field is strongly preferred. We seek candidates whose teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths. Candidates from all areas of computer science are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level in a degree granting program, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of course material/lectures. Additionally, candidates must possess a demonstrated commitment to excellent pedagogical inquiry and a demonstrated interest in teaching-related scholarly activities.
