It places strong value on interdisciplinary research and maintains close collaborations with the IID (Institute for Intelligence and Data) as well as with the CRDM (Center for Big Data Research), which it founded. Departmental researchers stand out for the excellence of their work and for establishing national and international partnerships. Position Description<br \/>\nThe Faculty of Pharmacy and the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Universit\u00e9 Laval invite applications for the position of Director of the interdisciplinary chair entitled:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInterdisciplinary Research Chair in Pharmacometagenomics: Integrating Artificial Intelligence, Analytical Chemistry, and Nutrition for Personalized Pharmacotherapy Targeting the Gut Microbiome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate must demonstrate a level of research excellence that enables access to a research chair and will assume the following responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teach at all academic levels in both faculties<\/li>\n<li>Supervise students at all academic levels in both faculties<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research activities enabling access to external funding programs<\/li>\n<li>Participate in other departmental and university activities within both units<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Demonstrate the ability to establish international research collaborations<\/p>\n<p>Crit\u00e8res de s\u00e9lection<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hold a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in a discipline relevant to the research area targeted by this position (nutrition, computer science, biology, pharmaceutical sciences, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Possess advanced training and\/or expertise in the fields required to lead the interdisciplinary chair: nutrition, artificial intelligence, omics sciences, clinical research, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, and interdisciplinary research approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to conduct university-level research (e.g., obtaining scholarships and\/or research grants, recent peer-reviewed scientific publications, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Potential to independently develop the chair\u2019s research program.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to bring together partners around the chair\u2019s research agenda.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated teaching abilities or potential at all three university cycles, supervision of graduate students, and a commitment to pedagogical innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Potentiel ou engagement av\u00e9r\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de service \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate and integrate into the institution\u2019s Francophone environment within a reasonable timeframe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alignment of professional potential with the key competencies required for the professorial role:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analytical skills,<\/li>\n<li>synthesis ability, and judgment<\/li>\n<li>\nCreativity and innovation<\/li>\n<li>\nComp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de communication<\/li>\n<li>\nInterpersonal skills and openness<\/li>\n<li>\nAbility to work in teams and with partners<\/li>\n<li>\nAutonomy and sense of responsibility<\/li>\n<li>\nStrong sense of ethics and duty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Student supervision<\/p>\n<p>Actifs<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of the health research funding landscape in Qu\u00e9bec and Canada<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of Universit\u00e9 Laval\u2019s specific operational environment<\/li>\n<li>Potential to establish international collaborations<\/li>\n<li>Established international visibility\n<p>2.
