\nThe Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering is responsible for teaching programs at all university levels in the disciplines of computer science and software engineering, including specialized courses in robotics. Interdisciplinary research is highly valued. Several researchers are active in robotics and the Norlab (Fran\u00e7ois Pomerleau & Philippe Gigu\u00e8re), located at the Faculty of Science and Engineering.<\/p>\n

\nParticipating in departmental and university administrative duties
\nCarrying out research activities in partnership with industry and academia within the robotics teams and the Norlab.
\nSelection criterias
\nTo hold a PhD\u00a0in computer science or software engineering, or in a discipline relevant to the field of research targeted by this position or to be about to obtain a PhD.
\nRelevance of scientific expertise and experience in relation to autonomous navigation, search and rescue activities, environmental monitoring, trajectory planning and scientific methodology applied to robotics, intelligent autonomous robotics systems deployed in challenging and unstructured environment (forest, harsh weather, underwater), advanced machine learning techniques applied to robotics.
\nProven ability to conduct university-level research.
\nPotential to develop an autonomous and original research activity related to the field of Robotics.
\nDemonstrated or potential aptitude for university teaching at the graduate level, supervising graduate students, and commitment to pedagogical innovation.
