Limited term (3-year) Instructor in Computer Science

The Faculty of Computer Science is seeking candidates for up to two 3-year limited term instructor positions. The positions will primarily involve teaching undergraduate and graduate courses predominantly in the Master of Applied Computer Science Program, and participating in other Faculty administration and student affairs, such as the Curriculum Committee and student advising. The course areas to be taught include Cloud Computing, Databases, Data Management, Data mining, Data Warehousing, Mobile Computing, Software Development, Software Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Software Engineering.
The successful candidates to these positions must meet the following requirements:
- At least a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Either a history of excellent teaching at a university or enterprise, OR leadership experience in
- Experience with current trends in industry practices and platforms substantiated by industry
experience or applied research.
Additional desirable qualifications are as follows:
- Recent experience in the ICT industry, particularly with large software projects
- A network of industry contacts who could be called upon to complement the academic course content
- A specialization or experience in at least one of the areas listed in the first paragraph
Although the instructor is not expected to conduct research, the successful candidate will have a well- defined area of interest in CS in which they will remain current and be able to teach senior-level and graduate courses.
