The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track Instructor position. Candidates must posses the interest and ability to teach a variety of required and elective undergraduate courses, particularly at the first, second and third year levels. Candidates must also be enthusiastic about contributing to our innovation activities in teaching and learning, and demonstrate potential to take leadership roles in computer science pedagogy.

Instructors normally teach at the first, second and third year levels of our program, but those with specific expertise may teach at more senior levels, if required. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science. The successful candidate will teach up to 5 half-course equivalents (HCE) per calendar year, and will also have the opportunity to engage in scholarly activities to maintain currency in the field, including scholarship of teaching & learning.

By helping us to create innovative, experiential learning environments for our students and community, the successful candidate is expected to contribute to the University of Calgary’s Eyes High vision, and to provide high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level.
